A Downtown Detroit Engagement Session.
When Spenser and Kat reached out to me about shooting their wedding, I was so excited. Kat is a photographer, like myself. So I just knew that she would have awesome ideas for her session, and I was right!!! She and Spenser hold a special place in their hearts for Downtown Detroit. They knew that this was going to be the perfect place to do their engagement photos. Theirs was my first shoot downtown, and I had so much fun!
We started their engagement session at the Detroit Institute of Arts, and then headed around the corner to the Z-lot, in the heart of Downtown Detroit. I could not believe just how gorgeous the spots we went to were. We were able to get such an amazing variety in our two hour session. We hit the gorgeous, and oh so fancy, staircase at the DIA, then bistro lit alleys near the Z-lot. Then, we finished up on the very top floor of the Z-lot where we saw the most amazing skyline and beautiful murals. The entire shoot was perfection.
Before I send you scrolling to see their AMAZING gallery, I feel like I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Kat’s GORGEOUS sparkly dress! When planning the attire for your engagement session; I always advise choosing one fancy outfit, and another that is more of a “date night” vibe.
