Their ceremony at St. Anne’s Cathedral was filled with so much love. One of the sweetest things to witness was Evan stealing little glances at Ellie throughout - those quiet, unspoken moments that say everything.

For portraits, we wandered through some of their favorite spots on the island, the charming historic homes, the docks, and of course, The Pink Pony (because what’s a Mackinac wedding without it?). The docks were peaceful, just the two of them soaking it all in. The sound of the waves, butterflies floating through the gardens, it was one of those magical little moments that I love capturing.

Their Mission Point Resort reception was an absolute dream. Waterfalls of pink hydrangeas cascaded across the head table and bar, candlelight flickered over custom watercolor stationery, and every detail felt timeless and intentional. A delicate fondant bow on their cake paid homage to the one on Ellie’s dress, adding a beautiful personal touch. The atmosphere was pure romance, with thoughtful details that reflected their love for Mackinac Island.

The emotions ran deep throughout the night, especially during the dances. Ellie and her dad shared the most joyful father-daughter dance, their faces lit with pure happiness. Then, she surprised her mom with a dance of their own, a moment filled with love and gratitude. Seeing her grandmother beaming with pride made it even more special. The band kept the dance floor packed all night, the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable celebration.

The festivities kicked off with a stunning rehearsal dinner at The Jockey Club, setting the tone for an unforgettable weekend. Afterward, guests gathered on the Grand Hotel’s famous porch for a welcome party that felt straight out of a movie. The warm island breeze, cocktails in hand, and that incredible Mackinac Bridge sunset made for the perfect evening. Laughter and conversation filled the air as family and friends came together to celebrate Ellie and Evan before the big day.
