These beautiful and romantic photos taken at Meadowbrook Hall are some of my favorites EVER. From the ethereal dresses, to the beautiful tablescapes, every last detail was gorgeous.
Meadowbrook Hall is one of my favorite venues, its historic charm and beauty is unrivaled. There is another personal reason why I love the location. When I was a kid, my parents didn’t take “typical” vacations with my sister and I. My Dad has always been a history buff, so our family vacations were to places like Williamsburg, VA and Jamestown. Our weekends were filled with trips to Greenfield Village, and tours of historical mansions – Meadowbrook Hall being one of them.
I still remember the first time I ever visited Meadowbrook Hall, as a little girl. As I walked through the lavishly adorned rooms and dreamed of a time before our own,I wondered what it must have been like to be a single family living in such a large home. I still look at Meadowbrook Hall with this wonder in my eyes, and I don’t think it is something that I will ever get over.
Anyway, now that I have professed and explained my love for the location, let me tell you a little bit about this shoot. I had the opportunity to photograph the most beautiful models, one single-bride, and a real-life couple. The dresses were absolutely stunning. They were absolutely glowing because of how sunny it was that day, which really helped set the stage for the whimsical vibe of the shoot. It felt like I was capturing photos for a fairytale book.
